Core of Things (VII) (triptych)

The seventh in a series of paintings inspired by the rocks of the Cornish coast, this one presented as a triptych of small works.  Cornwall's mining heritage is apparent at many locations on this coastline, and hues of rusty orange are striking against the dark greys and greens of the sedimentary and volcanic rocks as well the lighter tones of the huge granite intrusions.  On this stretch of coast, the ancient and industrial meet each other.
