One of three works created in response to walks on the granite between Land's End and Porthcurno in late afternoon in winter. Layers of oil paint, mixed with pigments, cold wax and rock powder, with 'sgraffito' techniques to scratch into underlayers, create texture.
Framed, tray frame painted in Zoffany 'Half Paris Grey', framed size 46 x 33.5 x 3.5 cm.
