A small abstract painting from a series of works inspired by walks on Porth Kidney beach near St Ives, as the light fades. It's a peaceful, quiet beach, a mile long, with beautiful views over the Heyl estuary to Gwithian and Godrevy Lighthouse. The backdrop to the beach is cliffs with rocks which are around 350 million years old. In oil, cold wax, pigment and rock powder on wood panel, the work is textured in grey hues with light blue, green and pink-purple undertones.
