One of a series of works inspired by walks on Porth Kidney beach near St Ives, as the light fades. It's a peaceful, quiet beach, a mile long, with beautiful views over the Heyl estuary to Gwithian and Godrevy Lighthouse. The backdrop to the beach is cliffs with rocks which are around 350 million years old. In oil, cold wax, pigment and rock powder on canvas, the work is heavily textured in pale and darker grey hues with areas of ochre.
