This work was inspired by my local coastal walk, close to home, at Porth Kidney beach. The dunes and the ancient weathered rocks in the cliffs provide a wonderful backdrop to the edge of the Atlantic Ocean on this beautifully quiet and unspoilt beach. In oil, pigments, rock powder and cold wax, with 'sgraffito' scratching to add texture and a sense of age.
