This is the first work in a series of four abstract paintings. I was exploring process through the scraping back of many layers and adding and subtracting texture, while aiming overall for an under-saturated colour palette and the creation of space. They represent a journey of exploration in time and space, culminating in the discovery of Cornwall and its light.
