All That Matters

In this work, I was concerned with creating an ancient surface, weather-beaten, scale uncertain, just old rock of the beautiful greenish gold, hues one finds on the coast at Gwithian, one of my favourite stretches of coastline hereabouts in St Ives Bay. Developed with rock powder and natural pigments in layers of oil and cold wax,  with abundant texture, the painting has a raw, natural feel of rocks and sea.

Framed in a 'Breton Blue' wood tray frame, framed size is 59 x 59 x 3.5 cm.
