This abstract painting is inspired by my yearning for the summer coast of Cornwall during the COVID-19 lockdowns of 2020 and 2021. Rounded forms bring to mind the solid granite boulders, weathered by the elements over thousands of years, and the soft pinkish tones of the palette bring together sky and land to provide a sense of calm and safety in what have been profoundly challenging times.
Framed, taupe wood tray frame, framed size 44 x 44 x 3 cm.
